Introduction

Significant investment in testing capability,  so our customers never have to question product quality

G Corner has invested significantly in testing infrastructure over recent years, building a comprehensive in-house capability that covers electrical, mechanical, and metallurgical validation. Our facilities allow us to test the full range of products we manufacture under real operating conditions, confirming performance against agreed specifications before despatch.

This commitment to rigorous pre-delivery testing means our customers receive fully verified, safe, and dependable products. It reduces the risk of on-site failures, shortens commissioning timelines, and provides documented proof of compliance with the stringent quality standards demanded by global 24/7 process industries.

G Corner's high-voltage test facility operates at up to 100KV AC and 10KV DC, used to verify insulation strength, electrical safety, and dielectric performance across the full range of products we manufacture. This testing confirms that every component will withstand the voltage stresses of real industrial operation without risk of insulation breakdown or electrical failure.

Conducted at up to 1,200 amps, millivolt drop testing verifies extremely low resistance at joints and contact points across all G Corner products. This confirms efficient current flow and minimal energy loss in service, directly supporting the efficiency and reliability of the customer's process operation.

Using specialist test setups capable of sustaining up to 10,000 amps, G Corner evaluates the thermal behaviour of all current-carrying products under continuous high-current loads. This testing confirms compliance with allowable temperature limits, validates conductor sizing accuracy, and verifies safe operation at rated current levels. Material performance under heat stress can also be assessed , providing confidence in long-term reliability.

G Corner operates a comprehensive suite of destructive and non-destructive testing methods to validate the mechanical and metallurgical integrity of all components. This includes spectrometer and optical emission spectroscopy analysis for material composition verification of copper, aluminium, and alloy components, alongside specialist jigs and fixtures designed to validate complex assemblies and their operation.

Experience & Expertise

Purpose-built testing infrastructure,  developed over decades of supplying safety-critical DC electrical systems

G Corner's testing capability has not been assembled as an afterthought. It reflects a long-standing commitment to product quality and a deep understanding of what is required to supply safety-critical electrical components to 24/7 industrial operations. Our customers run continuous processes where unplanned downtime carries significant cost. Delivering a product that has been comprehensively tested before it reaches site is part of how we protect their operations.

Our testing facilities are designed to replicate the actual electrical and thermal conditions our products will face in service. The combination of high-voltage, high-current, thermal, and metallurgical testing provides a complete picture of product performance, not just a single pass/fail check against a standard.

Every test is conducted using calibrated instrumentation and documented with full traceability, giving customers the evidence they need to demonstrate compliance with their own quality and regulatory requirements.
