G Corner's DC switches are engineered to deliver reliable performance in the harsh environments found in electrolytic cell applications and metals refining operations. A key element of our switch technology is vacuum encapsulated contacts, which fully isolate internal components from moisture, corrosive vapours, and conductive dust while suppressing arcing during operation - reducing contact wear and maintaining consistent low-resistance current paths over the life of the product.
Many models also include sacrificial or secondary contacts that absorb the wear from arcing, protecting the primary current-carrying contacts and preserving low resistance over repeated operational cycles. Our range covers 6 kA to 48 kA at 1,500 Vdc.
