Copper busbar systems

Engineered for maximum electrical efficiency and long-term reliability, G Corner’s copper busbar systems are manufactured from ASTM / BS EN / EN / JIS international specifications with Grade high-conductivity CU ETP / Oxygen free copper, offering conductivity values of up to 101% IACS. Produced from premium extruded or cold-rolled copper plate, the material is processed to create clean, high-quality contact surfaces that minimise electrical resistance and optimise current transfer. Copper busbars are the preferred choice for high-current applications where performance, durability, and operational efficiency are critical.

Aluminium busbar systems

G Corner’s aluminium busbar systems provide a lightweight and cost-effective solution for DC power distribution. Manufactured from high-purity electrical-grade aluminium 1050 /1060 / 1070 / 1350 , these systems combine good electrical conductivity up to 62% IACS value with reduced material weight, making them suitable for large-scale installations. Prefabricated to project-specific requirements and welded on site during installation, aluminium busbars offer a practical alternative where environmental conditions and application requirements allow.

Main Positive Trunk and Feeder Busbars form the primary supply route for DC power, carrying current from the transformer-rectifier unit to the cell line. Designed to deliver high-current power with minimal losses, each busbar is engineered to meet the project's specific electrical, thermal, and operational requirements. Their robust construction ensures reliable performance, efficient current distribution, and long service life in demanding process environments.

Main negative trunk and feeder busbars

Main Negative Trunk and Feeder Busbars provide the return path for DC current from the cell line back to the transformer-rectifier unit, completing the circuit and ensuring stable plant operation. Individually designed to match the performance requirements of the positive busbars, they are engineered to optimise current flow, minimise voltage drop, and maintain system efficiency across the entire installation.

Crossover and back busbars

Crossover and Back Busbars connect adjacent cell rows or electrolyser banks at the end of the process line, creating a continuous current path throughout the circuit. Custom-engineered to suit the plant layout and operating conditions, these busbars ensure efficient current transfer while maintaining low electrical resistance and high mechanical integrity. Their design plays a critical role in achieving uniform current distribution and maximising overall process performance.
