Cell-top capping boards and insulators
These are glass reinforced individual mouldings or pultruded profiles designed for high impact resistance and for use in high temperature and corrosive environments.
Gallery: Cell Top Busbars
G Corner's cell top busbars form the critical interface between the cells and electrode hanger assemblies in electrowinning and electro-refining plants. Ensuring an efficient transfer of electrical current from one cell to the next. Manufactured from high-conductivity copper to JIS, BS EN, IS or ASTM standards, they support efficient current distribution, minimise voltage losses, and maintain long-term mechanical stability under demanding cell house conditions.
Cell top busbars include, both intercell busbars, and end-cell apron busbars. These components carry current from each end cell and into each adjacent cell, providing connection points for the anode and cathode hanger bars. Intercell and end cell busbars can be machined with precision slots for hanger bars and insulators or supplied as un machined continuous extrusions, with auxiliary current equalisation busbars available where required.
Water-cooled intercell and end cell busbars are available for applications requiring extended service life in very high current density applications, such as in Zinc refining. These can be coated lead plating for protection from electrolyte corrosion. Cell top busbars are supplied for new tankhouse builds and as replacement components for refurbishment programmes.

High-conductivity machined copper extrusions in either standard Cu-ETP copper or oxygen Free copper Cu-OF, carrying DC current through electrical circuit, connecting adjacent cells along the cell line. Available machined with precision slots for anode and cathode hanger bars and insulators or as plain continuous extrusions, or with auxiliary current equalisation busbars where uniform distribution across all electrodes is required.
Produced from Hollow copper section intercell or equipotential busbars to EN 13605, Cu-ETP or Cu-OF material (CW004A or CW008A) . For applications requiring extended service life or protection from electrolyte corrosion the bars can be lead plated with a coating of up to 250 Microns. Available up to 12 metres in length with CNC machined hanger bar slots.
High-conductivity copper busbars carrying DC current from the main transmission busbars into each end cell of a cell line. Manufactured to the specific dimensions and current requirements of the installation. These End cell Apron bars are made from extruded copper profiles and copper plate that are welded together for connection to the main transmission busbars normally running under the cells. The Apron bars can be supplied in standard or oxygen free copper and can also be lead plated for corrosion resistance.
Applications
Suited to copper, zinc, nickel and cobalt, refining environments. Supplied for new tankhouse builds and as replacement components for refurbishment and upgrade programmes.
